🎙PODCAST | Israel and Operation Search: A Bomb in Every Pocket

Israel has inaugurated a new phase in its war tactics against its enemies by simultaneously detonating the mobile devices carried in their pockets and backpacks by thousands of Hezbollah members in Lebanon. The attacks surprised the world on Tuesday, with the simultaneous explosion of the “pagers” that the militiamen used precisely to prevent the hacking of mobile phones, and were repeated again on Wednesday with the explosion, this time, of the walkie-talkies. These attacks have left more than twenty dead, and hundreds injured, and are leading us into an unknown phase that seems to come straight out of a horror film.

With Javier Biosca, international manager of elDiario.es, and Jesús Núñez, co-director of the Institute for Conflict Studies and Humanitarian Action, we try to explain how it is possible that Israel managed to blow up these personal mobile devices of its enemies on a specific day, at a specific time, and what this unprecedented achievement means in international espionage.
