November 20 is Aghdam City Day. One of the personalities that comes to mind when I say Aghdam is the national hero Allahverdi Bagirov.
Allahverdi Bagirov, who rescued 1,003 Khojaly prisoners from the Armenians in 3 days.
Valida Bagírova, wife of the national hero, says that since 1988 the Armenians began to attack our lands, which worried Allahverdi Bagírov:
“When he went to battle, he did not report. After he left, we heard that he was in battle. He came and went with enthusiasm. He was very happy when he freed the brides, the elderly and the young from captivity. He used to to say that I was able to bring them. Now we happily come and go to Agdam. We visit our land, even if it is destroyed or not.
During the Patriotic War, together with Agdam, the tomb of the National Hero is freed from captivity. Currently, in Aghdam, as in other cities and towns liberated from occupation, restoration and reconstruction works are being carried out. The city, which improves day by day, awaits the path of its former inhabitants: the inhabitants of Agdam.
