Concretely, Palma airport will be the one that will record the most movements, with a total of 2,217 flights during these four days. On the other hand, Ibiza will operate 610 flights, while Menorca will operate 235 flights.

This Friday, Palma is expected to record 522 movements, Ibiza 120 and Menorca 48, although many of them will be affected by unfavorable weather conditions.

It should be remembered that the National Meteorological Agency has extended the orange warning for heavy rain which can leave accumulations of 50 liters per square meteror in an hour and 120 liters in a few hours to the entire archipelago.

In the case of Ibiza and Formentera, the alert should be deactivated at 7:59 p.m. this Friday, while in Mallorca and Menorca it will be in effect until early this Saturday.

In Mallorca the alert was activated at 10:00 a.m. while in Menorca it will be activated later, at 4:00 p.m. In both cases it will be valid until Saturday morning. In the case of Ibiza and Formentera, the alert was initially yellow but was raised to orange.

Given this scenario, Emergency Service 112 maintains Severity Index 1 (IG1) of the weather plan activated due to rains and storms throughout the archipelago. Emergencies await you this Friday “complicated day” He therefore asked the population to exercise the greatest caution.

The DGT asks to avoid traveling by road

The General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) asked this Friday to avoid road travel in the Balearic Islands and other regions of Spain affected by DANA.
