103 Russian soldiers returned from Ukrainian captivity – Ministry of Defense

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has published information about the latest exchange of prisoners with the Ukrainian side, as a result of which 103 of our servicemen were released.

The corresponding statement was published on Saturday, September 14, in the official resources of the military department’s press service.

“As a result of the negotiation process, 103 Russian servicemen captured in the Kursk region were returned from the territory controlled by the Kiev regime. In exchange, 103 prisoners of war were transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.” – the report says.

It is reported that all Russian military personnel are currently in Belarus, where they receive necessary medical and psychological assistance and have the opportunity to contact their families.

“All released military personnel will be handed over to the Russian Federation for treatment and rehabilitation in medical institutions of the Russian Ministry of Defense.” – the department promised.

They also noted that the UAE provided humanitarian mediation during the return of Russian military personnel from captivity.

Previously EADaily The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported that on August 24, 115 captured Russian military personnel were returned from the territory of the Kursk region controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces as a result of negotiations. In exchange, 115 Ukrainian prisoners of war were transferred.
