October 8, 2020: twelfth day of the Patriotic War, which led us to the freedom of our lands. According to the operational plan, all activities continue without interruption.

Starting in the morning, the Armenian armed forces shelled villages in the Goranboy, Tartar and Aghdam regions with artillery fire. As a result of enemy heavy artillery shelling of the village of Shahmammadli in Goranboy district, the resident of the village, born in 1957, Turyan Tofiq gizi Guliyeva, died in her house and the house suffered material damage.
The next objective is the city of Ganja. For the third time the enemy fired rockets at the city of Ganja. Villages in the Barda and Agjabadi regions and the city of Barda are also under fire. As a result of the fall of a rocket at the “Gadim Barda” restaurant located in the center of the city of Barda, two people who were there at that time suffered physical injuries of varying degrees, at the same time, the rockets fell near Middle School No. 5 in Barda City injured five people. In particular, the school building and numerous vehicles were seriously damaged. It is known that the armed forces of Armenia fired from the “Tochka-U” tactical missile complex towards the territory of the Barda region, and from the “Smerch” rocket launcher towards the city of Ganja.
In addition, as a result of the enemy army’s shelling of the Goranboy district from various directions since the morning, the administrative building of the Khojaly District Police Department located there, as well as numerous civil infrastructure facilities and residential houses in the area of the settlement, and the Karachinar secondary school causing a lot of damage. At that time, as a result of the intense shelling of the Agdam region by the Armenian army with rockets and artillery shells from different directions, residents of the region’s Buukbeyli village, Sadi Babir oghlu Jabrayilli, born in 1992, and Hürü Talish gizi Guliyeva, Born in 1977, were injured when a shell fell on the territory of the village of Alibeyli. They are admitted to the hospital with serious injuries. In short, the enemy, who suffered a severe defeat on the battlefield, reacts to the successes of our army with new nefarious acts.
The Azerbaijani army, which carried out the war without harming civilians or settlements, continues to respond to these provocations on the battlefield. So, first of all, our army captured the battle flag of the 8th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Armenian army, named after the national hero of Armenia, Vartan Markaryan. This is the second battle flag captured by the enemy during the war.
Furthermore, as a result of our army’s counterattack operation, Yervand Gajiyan, one of the leaders of the separatists, was also destroyed.
