155 miners were urgently evacuated from the Abayskaya mine in the Karaganda region of Kazakhstan. This was reported by newtimes.kz with reference to the Qarmet company.
“November 7 at 20:29 (18:29 Moscow time – approx. EADaily) the Central Dispatch Office of the company received a signal about the interruption of power supply at the Abayskaya mine as a result of a stoppage at transformer No. 9 of the energy company Karaganda Zharyk LLP”, – says the information.
In response to the incident, an evacuation plan was immediately launched, according to which a shift of 155 people was brought safely to the surface.
“All company services worked promptly and in accordance with accepted work algorithms. The power supply has already been restored. “The relevant services are analyzing the situation and the mine is also being prepared for the safe restoration of the company.” – the information further says.
