A total of 72 complaints have been treated so far in this mycological campaign in Soria, where they were seized 1,628 kilograms of mushrooms thanks to the collaboration between environmental agents of the Junta de Castilla y León and the Civil Guard. However, there was no no incident in the actions carried out in this regard, as reported this Friday by the Government Subdelegation to Soria.
Likewise, the subdelegate of the province, Miguel Latorre, chaired a coordination meeting security with those responsible for the management of mycological resources, the Civil Guard, the environmental agents and guardians of the environment and administrations, so that the harvest season takes place in accordance with the regulations in force.
During the meeting, the foundations were laid so that the information available to each institution was brought to the attention of the rest, especially with regard to the delivery points from the collectors to the so-called “weighers” who are generally just simple intermediaries companies in the sector.
“Atypical” campaign
The mushroom campaign is growing an “atypical” form, since they just came out in very specific areas. For this reason, according to what those responsible for Monte de Soria and the town halls that have their municipal boundaries have said, There has not yet been a massive influx of researchers. But we expect that with the latest rains, they will largely bear fruit.
In the province of Soria there are approximately 200,000 regulated hectares. It is the province of Castilla y León that has the largest area of mycological reserves. The ultimate goal of the management actions carried out is to “preserve the mycological resource so that the uses are sustainable and be maintained, or even improved in the future”, as detailed by the same sources.
