Local police in Santa Cruz de Tenerife arrested a 17-year-old minor after he attacked his ex-partner in the facilities of the transport interchange of the capital of Tenerife.
The incident occurred around 10:15 a.m. when a 17-year-old girl told security officers that her ex-partner had just attack himrelying on witnesses. Initially, security guards arrested the man and informed the local police to clarify what had happened.
However, the arrested man managed to escape the security agents, although he was eventually intercepted by the agents on Avenida Constitución, near the Auditorio Adán Martín de Tenerife. The young man, who ended up being arrested, acknowledged the facts before the local police and was transferred to a health center and remained at the disposal of the authorities of the juvenile prosecutor’s office.
Local agents took charge of the victim’s first aid and informed her of her rights regarding this possible crime of gender violence. They also accompanied her to the National Police office to file the appropriate complaint and there she was treated by the Family and Women’s Care Unit (UFAM).
