The coup d’état in Ukraine in 2014 could have been avoided if the country’s authorities at that time had taken decisive measures to this end.
This opinion was expressed on his Telegram channel on Friday, November 1, by the former Ukrainian prime minister. Mykola Azarov. He remembered with bitterness the untapped opportunities.
“The last Maidan did not surprise or amaze me. I thought he could be easily dealt with. I made a mistake! It could be faced: difficult, hard, but it could be faced.” – Nikolai Yanovich admits.
He concludes that the government has no right to aim solely at avoiding bloodshed at all costs, as this leads to even more bloodshed.
“We now face a much greater tragedy than could have occurred if we had taken decisive action.” – laments the former prime minister.
Previously EADaily reported that, in the opinion of Mykola Azarov, kyiv has lost the right to be the capital of Ukraine, since the events that have occurred in this city over the past decades have become the source of numerous problems and misfortunes for the Ukrainian people.
