Ever since the first season of Made In Heaven has ended, fans have been continuously awaiting the second season of the show. The first season got wide acclaim from both critics and the audience for its modern storytelling and a take into the real world of fairytale lives. The show was also in talks for being open about taboo topics like homosexuality and gave it a very realistic approach.
However, it looks like the fans will have to wait for a little more time for season 2. The show has reportedly postponed the shooting due to the outbreak of coronavirus worldwide. Made In Heaven, unlike the previous season, was not going to be filmed in India but in foreign locations, mainly Europe. The show wanted to take the story further by giving it a more comprehensive approach.
As foreign destination weddings are all the vogue right now, the makers decided to shift the show’s focus to Europe. The show was going to be shot in Spain and Italy. Unfortunately, due to the outbreak of coronavirus and because of the spread of the virus in Italy, which has since then become the epicenter of the virus, the shooting was shelved, keeping the mind the safety and security of the cast and the crew. The shooting was to commence from April 2020, the date has been shifted, but we do not know precisely when.
The show is headed by Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti, and Nitya Mehra. The cast will be the same. The main actors are Shobhita Dhulipala and Arjun Mathur. Additional cast members include Kalki Koechlin, Jim Sarbh. It’s still not disclosed who will be joining the cast in season 2, so that’s always a mystery. The show was scheduled to release in January 2021, but with the delay, the show’s release date might also be pushed back.
