Sacred Games Season 3 : Release Date, Plot and Cast, Latest Updates!!

The one show that left the entire nation dumbstruck on the edge of their couches is Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Sacred Games. Netflix India’s thriller series is based on a novel written by Vikram Chandra in 2006. Scared Games did receive nominations in the drama category in the Emmy Awards.

Flashback:

The second tied most of the loose ends of season 1, like why Gaitonde killed Jojo. The audience also got to know why Gaitonde killed himself. Guruji was manipulating him for the past 20 years.

The story of the second season mainly focuses on Police Inspector Sartaj Singh. Sartaj tries to prevent a nuclear attack on Mumbai. When he finds the bomb, he tries to defuse it. As soon as he tries his final pattern to defuse the bomb, the screen goes black, leaving all the viewers scratching their heads. Thus the fans never came to know if he succeeds or not.

However, given the massive popularity of the Netflix show, it is likely to be returning to the platform for another series. The series has a global reach, as Netflix revealed an Asian event last year that twice as many people watched sacred Games outside of India as within it. Although the streaming platform does not release its viewing figures, this seems to imply the show is a big hit.

Release Date:

As the show hasn’t been declared for its season renewal officially, the dates for the release of the third season are not yet available. But as the second season aired on Independence Day 2019, season 3 may take upto mid- September to be aired. Netflix makes up its mind about the renewal of its shows just after its release.

 Cast:

Season 3 will star Saif Ali Khan as Sartaj Singh. As the time jumps between the past and present are spectacular, we will see Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Ganesh Gaitonde even if the character is dead. Pankaj Tripathi’s Guruji seems a bit doubtful for the cast of season 3, but you never know.
