Indian Original ‘Bard Of Blood’ hit the Netflix platform on 27th September 2019. The streaming giant is pumping its resources by releasing new series as well as the new season for its previous hits. One of them being the ‘Bard Of Blood’ series. It is a spine chiller thriller of Bilal Siddhiqui’s tale. As Bard Of Blood was a considerable success, Netflix will renew the series for a second season.
What to expect from season 2?
Season 2 might contain seven episodes as well and might drop all of them together. Season 2 depends entirely on the availability of the cast for the filming. But the subsequent season will require unique content.
What is the cast of season 2?
Season 2 will star Imran Hashmi as the protagonist known as Kabir and Adonis being his field name. Shobhita Dhulipala, as Isha Khanna and Vineet Kumar Singh as Veer Singh, will also be tagging up in the story. Everyone knows Imran Hashmi for his roles in Once Upon A Time In Mumbai, Mr.X, The Dirty Picture, etc. whereas Dhulipala’s greatest job was in Amazon Prime series Made In Heaven. Kumar Singh has worked in many blockbusters on the big screen, including the Gangs Of Wasseypur.
The plot of the second season:
Season one has been adapted from the book, but beyond that, the show will be venturing into new territory after running out of source material. There are many possibilities about the plot of a second season with Anand most likely to be embarking on a new mission and balancing his life as a teacher with an intelligence operative. But again, this will depend on the direction the writers want to take with the story and if they want to do something different in season two. Author Siddiqui, who worked on the first run could also be returning to devise a new story for Bard of Blood.
About Emraan Hashmi’s Role:
In season 1, we saw Emraan Hashmi play the role of Kabir Anand, who was a school teacher at the start. As he gets called for the mission, the audience witnessed a fearless and courageous RAW agent who goes by the name Adonis. In season 2 one hopes to see the same Kabir as in season 1. The second season bends on the statement of having Chinese premier in the series. The enemies seem to defeat India by proving their armed power. In the last episode, we saw Vikram shooting Chettri while he was talking to Kabir on the phone. To know more about Kabir’s next moves, we need to be patient till the second season drops.
