He Lucena Town Hall announced the expansion of public job offer (OPE) of 2024 with 7 new jobs, which join the 26 announced a few months ago, completing 33 placesand which constitute “the largest public employment offer of this town hall in a single year in its entire history”, according to the Mayor of Personnel Francis Aguilar.
This expansion responds to prior planning aimed at meeting the needs of each municipal service and the retirement benefits planned for the coming years. Aguilar explained that he intends to “guarantee the proper functioning of local administration.”
Thus, an additional position of architect, one of civil engineer, another of social worker and one of violin teacher are created for the Municipal School of Music and Dance. Three new positions are also defined in the workforce of Local police through internal promotion, to fill a second inspector post and two sub-inspector posts, doubling the currently existing command structure.

The previous 26 already announced last July correspond to six Local Police stations; five management and administration technicians; three general administration technicians; two administrative assistants; two from industrial technical engineer, social worker and architect; and an orderly, civil engineer, inspection assistant, economist, urban inspector and violin teacher.
Francis Aguilar indicated that “at the end of October or beginning of November, we hope to be able to announce the registration period and we hope that the dates of the first calls will be published before the end of the year.
The mayor of Lucien placed particular emphasis on the impact of these job offers on the Local Police workforce. “Improving citizen security was a priority for this government team and we can now announce that in a little over a year, the quota of vacancies and the command structure was strengthened with the incorporation of new inspectors and sub-inspectors, doubling the one that existed previously,” he detailed. The OPE of 2025 will also provide new troops.
Francis Aguilar contrasted the work developed by the team PP Government with that of the PSOE “which promised numerous works on paper, which were then not carried out”.
