PPATK revealed an amazing conclusion: in total, 571,410 of the identification number of the population (NIK), registered as a recipient of social assistance (Bansos), was also known that he actively plays online games within 2024.
The number of transactions of this group is very fantastic. The total amount of funds deposited to the gambling platform on the Internet reached 957 billion rubles, with a frequency of transactions 7.5 million times.
“If we are developing data, maybe more,” said PPATK public relations coordinator, Natsir Kong, quoted from Antara, on Monday, July 7, 2025.
Natsir explained that his party conducted a test, comparing 28.4 million NIK recipients for social assistance with 9.7 million NIKs belonging to the players of online games. As a result, there were 571,410 NIK compatibility, which means that the recipient of social assistance also participated as a player in online games.
As a subsequent step, the Ministry of Social Affairs collaborates with PPATK to study this data in order to ensure a more purposeful distribution of social assistance, as specified by President Prabovo Subanto.
