THE Civil Guard of Navarre arrested a 47-year-old man, resident of Sangüesa, for crimes against public health, after finding in his possession a significant quantity of narcotic substance during a check on the public highway.
The intervention was carried out by agents of the Pof the Civil Guard of Puente la Reina. The action began while officers were conducting a checkpoint at a town in Merindad de Estella, as part of citizen security efforts in response to multiple recent violations in the region.
In this context, the agents detected a unknown vanand carried out its inspection. After identifying the occupants of the vehicle, a man and a woman, officers found on the man a clear plastic bag containing 527 grams of a substanceprobably speed, whose value on the illicit market amounts to around 15,000 euros.
Given the evidence, the individual, a 47 year old man, of Spanish nationality and resident of Sangüesa, was arrested for an alleged crime of drug trafficking, the procedure being handled by the Puente la Reina Post Office, and sent to the Guardia Court of Pamplona (Navarra).
