The Valencian Government of Carlos Mazon approved this Tuesday in plenary session new aid, reductions and tax credits for those affected by DANA which devastated dozens of towns in the province of Valence. In the area of social services, the area headed by the vice president Susana Camarerowill assign 50 million euros in rental assistance intended for families whose homes have been deactivated by DANA.
In addition, the Valencian Government has also approved a set of measures tax measures which establishes deductions from Personal Income Tax (IRPF) 100% of expenses to repair damage to the habitual residence and 45% for the contribution of own funds of entities that carry out economic activities.
Also, tax credits of 50% are considered on acquisitions fatal cause by relatives of the third degree of kinship. This includes uncles, nephews, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law and 100% discounts on donations to mitigate property damage regardless of relationship level. Finally, Carlos Mazón’s executive extended the deadlines for submitting and paying self-assessments.
From all this, they reported, at the conclusion of the plenary session of the Valencian Government, the advise of the Treasury Ruth Merinosand Vice President Susana Camarero. The latter, a real support of Mazón since the beginnings of DANA in the political field.
Carlos Mazón wants to reach out to everyone affected by DANA. And he will do so in all areas of his management. One of them, working together so that those who have lost everything can move forward. And, another, beginning an enormous task of reconstructionas has never been seen in the Valencian Community.
For the latter, he launched a comprehensive set of tax initiatives, which include bonuses, personal income tax reductions and other measures. Mazón will inform the parliamentary groups this Thursday during his appearance at the Valencian Courts.
In summary, this Thursday the Valencian government approved three groups of particularly important measures. One, which is already part of the reconstruction measuresde facto, consists of allocating more than 2.5 million euros in emergency contracts for the social services concerned.
Of this amount, 500,000 euros were allocated to a first contract for the distribution of essential products in 19 social centers, to 1,540 people. Among these centers, 13 are residences that accommodate 1,319 elderly peoplefour are care centers for people with disabilities, with 164 users. The other two centers until the end of the 19 mentioned accommodate 57 minors.
An additional 503,000 euros are allocated to the administration of services restoration in nine damaged centers. Additionally, they were recorded 1.4 million euros to contract the supply of basic equipmentpressure groups and auxiliary elements for the centers concerned. So reconstruction. As well as the 46,646 euros which will be allocated to clearing debris from these centers and damaged public housing.
Housing rental assistance
Furthermore, the Advice also approved the regulatory bases and the procedure for direct granting of emergency aid for the rental of housing for families or co-living units whose habitual residence has become uninhabitable because of DANA.
The amount of aid fully reaches the 50 million euros. This aid can amount to 800 euros per monthbut with the rent ceiling indicated in the rental contract increased by the deposit and, where applicable, the guarantee. Up to 12 monthly rent payments will be subsidized. The deadline to apply for this assistance will open on November 15, 2024 and close on June 30, 2025.
These initiatives are in addition to the approval of another issue also linked to reconstruction: the administrative and economic budgetary measures to facilitate the Generalitat following DANA.
This involves establishing a regulatory system to facilitate the economic and budgetary management of reconstruction. Thus, the order of donations already produced is established, so that the monetary donations made will be recorded on the account of the Treasury of the Generalitat.
THE The income from these donations will be used to cover DANA-related expenses.such as assistance to natural or legal persons who have suffered damage to their property or rights, repair of damaged infrastructure, supplies, materials and, also, any other element likely to contribute to strengthening the recovery.
