6,000 bottles of oil for an employment campaign

The Red Cross, with the collaboration of the Provincial Association of Hotels and Tourism of Toledo (AHT), has once again launched an initiative aimed at eliminating barriers and facilitating access to the labor market for people the most socially disadvantaged, taking into account their abilities, qualities and talents above other characteristics.

The “Hire without” campaign, which has been developing since 2020, is now updating its image to make visible the groups most confronted with prejudices and stereotypes in terms of hiring: people over 45 or under 25, women and migrantsas reported this Monday by the hotel association in a press release.

With the aim of spreading this campaign and promoting inclusion in the business environment, they explain: The Red Cross will distribute 6,000 bottles of provincial oil to 60 establishments in the province of Toledo. The objective is to encourage companies to become inclusive entities open to diversity. It is only through example that society can be transformed and a true culture of equality can be fostered.

“Talent has no age, origin or gender,” explained Pilar Gómez Elez, vice-president of the Toledo Red Cross, during the presentation of the “Engage without” campaign. “An employment contract represents a life-changing opportunity for the people we serve through the Employment Plan. We thank the AHT for its commitment to this initiative and its contribution to generating a more inclusive labor market.

Tomás Palencia, president of the Toledo Hotel and Tourism Association, said hoteliers “have always been committed to inclusion; This is part of the essence and heart of many of our designs. This campaign is one more step towards increasing the integration and hiring possibilities of excluded people.“. A commitment of the association with the Red Cross, added Palencia, which dates back to an agreement that the two institutions signed in 2018.

María, participant in the employment plan, is 23 years old and goes to the Red Cross to train as a waitress and bar server and, after her internship at the Palomarejos Golf Complex, she signed a contract. “I am the clear example that being a woman and of gypsy origin has not been an obstacle demonstrate my skills thanks to a company that gave me the opportunity,” he said.
