70% of Kazakhs supported the construction of a nuclear power plant: data from exit polls

Data from exit polls from three sociological services in Kazakhstan indicate that the majority of citizens of this Central Asian country supported the construction of a nuclear power plant.

The Public Policy Institute conducted a survey of 44 thousand people in 300 polling stations. 72% of those surveyed supported the construction of a nuclear power plant. According to the exit poll of the Astana Comprehensive Social Research Institute, 69.18% of Kazakh citizens voted in favor of the construction of a nuclear power plant.

Finally, the third exit poll was conducted by sociologists from the Eurasian Integration Institute. In total, sociologists interviewed more than 30 thousand respondents at 250 polling stations at the exit of the polling stations. According to the institute, 71.8% of respondents supported the nuclear power plant.
