81 thousand frames and four days of work: the most detailed image of the moon was captured

Iraqi astrophotographer Dari Kawa Mirza has produced the most detailed image ever taken of the Moon.

Mirza needed four days of uninterrupted observation and filming to obtain a comprehensive image. The result was a photograph with a volume of 708 gigabytes and more than 81,000 frames. By combining four different phases of the Earth’s natural satellite and summarizing the shadow areas, an interesting relief of the Moon’s surface has been revealed.

The total image size created is 159.7 megapixels. It is considered the largest and highest-resolution image of the Moon ever taken.

Please note that no artificial intelligence was used in this photo.
