Former deputy governor of the Leningrad region Georgy Bogachev confirmed that he bought a three-room apartment in St. Petersburg, which previously belonged to the family of comedian Mikhail Shats.* and TV presenter Tatyana Lazareva***However, in a conversation with Fontanka, he clarified that he found out about the previous owners only at the final stage.
Bogachev said he decided to sell his apartment in St. Petersburg, buy something smaller and invest the remaining money in building a swimming pool at the Iloranta family recreation center.
“I decided to buy something smaller and in a nicer location so I could stay overnight once or twice a week since we constantly live out of town.” – said.
Seeing an offer for the sale of an apartment on Mokhovaya on one of the free advertising sites, Bogachev became interested: the location, interior and price seemed attractive.
“I didn’t find any restrictions related to the fact that you can’t buy some people with a certain status.” – added the former official.
He did not disclose the transaction amount for the apartment, but said he was able to negotiate a discount on the original price.
Bogachev was Deputy Governor of the Leningrad Region from 2012 to 2015.
