Solaria to develop Data Center with Datasection

Solaria has signed a agreement with Japanese technology company Datasection for the development of an artificial intelligence data center in the former Solaria industrial facilities in Puertollano (Ciudad Real).

Guarantee of supply

Following this “important agreement”, the division now cworks with good momentum thanks to this future development, in collaboration with the Japanese listed company Datasection, of the artificial intelligence data center of Castilian territory-La Mancha.

Datasection is a Japanese technology company that listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (Japan)with Japanese telecommunications company KDDI as its major shareholder, with Taiwanese electronic components giant Foxconn and American company Supermicro Computer as strategic partners, and with the support of the most advanced GPUs from Nvidia.

In this project, as Solaria explains, “Datasection focuses on ensuring the provision of GPU/AI Server by its partners and the AI Data Center Operation and Management and the AI ​​cloud.

The agreement provides for the achieve a supply of up to 200 MW and the use of up to 100,000 m² of surface area in Solaria’s own facilities in Puertollano.

Solaria is thus taking a new step in this commitment, by sealing this alliance with the Japanese listed company, which has already launched the project and signed the MoU for its First artificial intelligence data center in Osaka (Japan), the largest in Asia, and the first AI data center outside the United States to be operational in the last quarter of this year.

The two companies They intend to reproduce this same objective in the short term in the European Union.launching the first one at the industrial headquarters of Solaria, in the Castilian-La Mancha municipality of Puertollano. Representing Solaria, the agreement was signed by the general manager, Darío López, and on behalf of Datasection, its CEO, Norihiko Ishihara.

Data Center Market

The company announced its entry in May in the data center market after obtaining from Red Eléctrica the viability of access and connection to meet the demand for a total of 155 MW for data processing centers (CPD).

For the development of this new activity, the company created the company Solaria Data Center, indicating that the company “will use its own electrical infrastructure related to their energy production projects.

This way you will use own resources in operating, construction and development tasks, which include, in addition to the electrical infrastructures themselves (generation, substations and high-voltage lines), optical fiber for the connectivity of said centers.
