At the meeting of the PP’s Autonomous Executive Committee, Mañueco described Gavilanes as a politician with experience and “courage, talent and the ability to dialogue and reach agreements” and asked the new spokesperson “delivery, leadership and understanding” to be able to face the new moment of dialogue and understanding in the Cortes of Castilla y León where, as expected, the national leadership of the Socialist Party and Vox are not going to make things easy for them.

NLP against economic privileges
In his speech, Mañueco also announced that his group would present a non-legal proposal against the agreed economic privileges by the government of Pedro Sánchez with the independentists in exchange for votes. “This pact threatens the equality of the Spaniards and the solidarity between the territories,” he said.
