Four forensic experts and an assistant from Cordoba will help identify bodies in Valencia

The Ministry of Justice, Local Government and Civil Service sent nine other members of the Institutes of Forensic Medicine and Forensic Sciences (IMLCF) to help with the work of identifying DANA victims and who will take over from their colleagues who came last Thursday to work on these tasks.

The new team, seven forensic doctors and two autopsy assistants Cordoba and Malagawill take over from the seven doctors and two assistants of the IMLCF of Almería and Jaén.

These professionals left at the beginning of the afternoon and, in concrete terms, the team is made up of four forensic doctors and an assistant from the IMLCF of Cordoba, as well as three forensic doctors and an assistant from Malaga.

As indicated by the Andalusian Government, they will relieve the team, also made up of nine professionals from the Institutes of Almería and Jaén, who have been in Valencia since last Thursday to help in the work of identifying the bodies with the aim of “to be able to rationalize these tasks as much as possible and to be able to deliver them as quickly as possible to their loved ones for burial.

Currently, the death toll exceeds 211, but many more are expected. While the deployed operation attempts to recover the deceased, those who present themselves are moved to the City of Justice of Valencia and when they are identified, they go to the city’s fairgrounds.
