The town halls and provincial councils of Galicia already have official instructions to carry out the collection of food or products that will be sent to people affected by DANA in Valencia. And many municipalities have opened citizen collaboration channels for the collection and delivery of provisions, after the Galician Federation of Municipalities (Fegamp) published a statement requesting help from the entire Community.

Aid collection points in municipalities

Following the needs demanded by the Valencian government, reports Ep, the majority of municipalities participating in the collection campaign are collecting milk, water, sandwich bread, non-perishable foods, children’s products – such as baby bottles and diapers -, personal hygiene products, sleeping clothes. bags, rubber boots, shovels or socks.

Santiago de Compostela: Vero Boquete Municipal Stadium in San Lázaro (from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., this Sunday; and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday).

Ferrol: Casa Solidaria (10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday to Wednesday).

Ames: Casa da Cultura de Milladoiro and Casa da Cultura de Bertamiráns (from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.), Town Hall building (from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., starting Monday 4) and premises of the Civil Protection of Aldea Nova (from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.) .

Culleredo: (all since Monday): Servizos Múltiples do Burgo Building (9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.), Villa Melania (9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.). :00h), the Fonteculler Civic Center (from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.) and the Town Hall building (from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.).

Silléda: City Hall Building (8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.), Vista Alegre Cultural Center (4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.).

Lugo: Díaz de Castro Social Center (4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday to Friday). In addition, people interested in collaborating as volunteers can register through the email volunteeradolugo@lugo.gal or in person, starting Tuesday, at the Uxío Novoneyra Social Center.

Laline: space next to the municipal pavilion (from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.).

Monterroso: Lorenzo Varela Cultural Space (since Monday).

In its letter, Fegamp recalls that municipalities and communes that can provide support from firefighters, rescue services and civil protection must contact the emergency services of the Generalitat Valenciana. For financial contributions, Fegamp itself manages the opening of a bank account designated solely for this purpose.
