The dust haze that enveloped Baku today

The amount of dust in the air in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, as well as in regions along the Caspian Sea coast, has increased and is currently 4-4.5 times higher than the norm.

ReadAz It is reported that sand storms occurring in the deserts of Central Asia during the year create dust vortices in the Arabian Peninsula in the south and in the Turkmen desert in the east, and these formed dust masses pass to our country through the southern and eastern air currents and cause the formation of dust fog mainly in the city of Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula. In recent years, as a result of climate changes, this process is repeated more frequently.

It should be noted that from tomorrow morning, southeasterly winds are expected to be replaced by northwesterly winds in the country, so the amount of dust in the air is expected to gradually decrease during the day.
