Aladaia is full of Castilian and Leonese heroes

Aldaia, one of the towns in Valencia most affected by DANA, was populated by heroes from Castilla y León.

Teams from the Regional Government of Castilla y León, firefighters from the Town Hall and the Provincial Council of Valladolid as well as the city of Zamora have settled there.

Everyone worked tirelessly and admirably on a Sunday when heavy rain once again threatened the region.

For their part, members of the Civil Protection of the Regional Administration focused on assistance in the flooded garages as well as on the allocation of resources to the Forward Command Post, always in collaboration with the organizations and authorities of the area.

According to municipal sources, 10 Valladolid firefighters have been supporting search, debris removal and cleanup efforts since Friday.

And these were joined on Saturday by two others, who are already helping the victims of this tragedy.

All of them went to the Valencian Community with a heavy urban pumper and a transport truck equipped with material means to carry out the corresponding works.

In the fire department of the Valladolid Provincial Delegation, four corporals and eight fire-drivers from different parks in the province went to Valencia on Friday evening with a large number of material resources, including drones, fire trucks and nautical rescue and high-level equipment. technician.

The next morning, they were all distributed between Aldaia and Chiva, respectively to refloat the garages and trace the bed of a river.

But today, everyone stayed in Aldaia. Thus, while one team was responsible for evacuating water in the urban area, two others carried out, in collaboration with members of the Military Emergency Unit (UME), inspection work on elevators and mechanical ramps of the Bonaire shopping center, one of the largest in the province and whose parking lot has accumulated a lot of water.

We started extracting it with bilge pumps to then check the parking lot and check if there were people trapped inside the vehicles.

In addition to all, there is also a fire team from Zamora consisting of five firefighters and a corporal, who landed yesterday morning at ground zero with several specialized vehicles: a heavy fire truck equipped with rescue tools and extrication equipment, in addition to an all-terrain vehicle for transporting personnel and a trailer with bailer, lighting, water rescue and shoring equipment, among others.

It is for this reason that they participated this morning in the operation, if necessary, by carrying out the first work related to the evacuation of water from flooded garages, the evacuation of vehicles and the cleaning of the streets and of the spaces concerned. In short, a heroic work worthy of admiration.
