Beshiktas has launched an initiative to expand the limit of foreign players.
Oku.Az reports that the club’s management met with the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) today to increase the limit.
In addition to Beshiktas, Trabzonspor and several other clubs asked to increase the number of foreign players from 14 due to difficulties in existing contracts. However, TFF did not accept this request.
The federation cited the start of the season and the resistance shown by the clubs as the reason. At the same time, the TFF indicated that if all the clubs reach a general agreement on this issue, the decision could be reconsidered.
