Commission rejects all requests for concerts in high schools in Cordoba

THE Department of Educational Development and Vocational Training of the Junta of Andalusia refused 46 concerts from as many centres in the province of Cordoba for the school year that begins soon, while it has granted 36 new lines of financing with schools and private institutions to provide courses.

97 percent of the requests that received a negative response from the Autonomous Administration correspond to the levels of the Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO), Baccalaureate and Training Cycles —both Basic, Middle and Higher—, while only two are in the rest of the stages; more precisely, in special education, where there were two requests not admitted.

The details of the new concerts for the cycle that begins in a few weeks are in the decree of July 25 of this year published by the Department of Educational Development. In the information provided by the file, it is noted that the Commission categorically rejects all requests for Bachillerato concerts registered in the province of Córdoba, numbering eleven. This issue is critical, controversial.

Promise

Because the PP included during the first term of Juanma Moreno in the Junta of Andalusia and in its agreement with Ciudadanos, which then had the powers of Education, which was going to promote agreements with private academic institutions to conclude agreements at this optional level after the ESO. The Catholic School, which brings together the majority of religious schools, has complained in recent years about the lack of real impact of this announcement.

The regional administration has not been very receptive to requests for financial assistance for any of the three levels of Training cycles, which number thirty-one: eight in the basic level, five in the intermediate level and eighteen in the upper level. Only three, of intermediate level, succeeded.

Specifically, the schools that unsuccessfully requested new or expanded sponsorship from Moreno Executive at the baccalaureate level are: Bética-Mudarra, CervantesLa Salle, Ramon y Cajal, Sacred Heart, Saint Francis de Sales (Salesians), Santa Victoria, Santísima Trinidad-Sansueña, Trinidad, Virgen del Carmen and Yucatal (in Posadas).

The list of centers that teach training cycles that have remained empty-handed is long. Among them are the school Saint Acisclus and Saint Victoriawho had presented a proposal for a module on domestic activities and cleaning of buildings; Seneca, with a cycle on computers and communications; Saint Joseph, of Priego of Cordobato provide administrative services; Avas Training Genil Bridge, with a Kitchen and Catering module; or also Pontan Compañía de María with another computer and communication module.

Capital and province

THE Lope de Vega Academyof the capital Cordoba, was excluded from the teaching aid for the Middle Cycle of Microcomputers and Network Systems; and Our Lady of Mercy has not obtained funding for other administrative management. For its part, Yucatan has not obtained support for a higher degree in administration and finance; nor have the teachings of the sapphire of Montilla for separate training modules for safe and sustainable mobility and oral hygiene.

In case of refusal of concerts Baccalaureate And Training cycles, The Council argues that the modules in question are not part of its planning and that, furthermore, it does not have the necessary budget to promote them. In the concerts refused in Special Education and in the one rejected in Early Childhood, it maintains, for its part, that there is sufficient supply in the public network.

Of the 33 schools benefiting from new concerts in the province, 27 are in the Early Childhood Education field, two are Primary (The Miraculous And Trinidad Sansueña) and two others from Children’s (Cervantes And Saint Victoria).

Support for special education

Cordoba capital, Aguilar de la Frontera, Baena And River village These are the towns where the 27 centres are located that will benefit from the special education concerts this year. Thus, the Jesús Nazareno school in Aguilar de la Frontera has obtained funding for an integration support class, as have two units of the Sagrada Familia vocational schools in the same speciality. Baena and another from the Holy Spirit, also from the village of La Campiña.

In the capital, Cordoba, they obtained funds to strengthen support for integration Lope de Vega AcademyCalasancio, Cervantes, Divina Pastora, railway workers, Jesus of Nazareth, San Acisclo and Santa Victoria, San Rafael, Santa María de Guadalupe, Trinidad SansueñaVirgen del Carmen, Virgen de la Fuensanta and Seneca.

The Divine Shepherdess of River village saw how his request for a concert in an Integration Support class was accepted.
