The fighting in the Kursk region is the decisive battle for the entire Northern Military District. This is the opinion of Apty Alaudinov, Deputy Head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, commander of the Akhmat special forces.
In an interview with TASS, he said that at the beginning of the invasion the situation in the Kursk region was very difficult, but now it is “functioning and predictable.”
According to the general, the troops of the Kiev regime are unlikely to “maintain the pace of fighting in the region for long,” and the loss of the best-trained and equipped units will lead to a turning point in the special operation and, ultimately, to a Russian victory.
“All the weapons they had were aimed in the direction of Kursk in order to use these forces to enter the Kursk territory and take the nuclear power plant, which is located directly near Kursk, in Kurchatov.” – said Alaudinov.
According to his estimates, kyiv planned with this operation to force Russia to transfer forces from other sectors of the front and force it to negotiate on Ukraine’s terms. However, Russia did not weaken its forces on the front, thanks to which “the Donetsk direction has already advanced” and “the enemy has collapsed.”
“Not a single combat unit we have in those areas where our forces are currently advancing has been eliminated. And with small forces we were able to stop the enemy and inflict crushing damage.” – explained the commander of the special forces “Akhmat”.
