The young delivery man, born in Guadeloupe and living in a nearby village, has been out of work for a long time. For months she has been eagerly awaiting the trial of her attackers, which has been postponed several times and is scheduled for Wednesday 4 September at the Carcassonne court.
Of the fifteen men who attacked him that evening, three are to be arraigned for “intentional violence followed by total incapacity for work (ITT) for no more than eight days committed by several persons and with the use or threat of a weapon”. Among them, Yannis A., 22, resident in Verzeille, law student and rugby player for US Carcassonne, and Ludovic B., 48, a hospital worker but also vice-president of Verzeille and second deputy mayor of the municipality.
