All this despite government statements attributing these attacks to the far right. The Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Oscar Puenteattributed these acts to “the organized activity of certain individuals belonging to small groups and far-right political organizations.” For his part, Sánchez said on Sunday that the residents of Paiporta who demonstrated this Sunday are “absolutely marginal violent people.” This Monday, the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande Marlaskaattributed these acts to a “violent minority”, without however specifying that these were far-right groups.
The young man assured that he had to travel from Madrid on Friday to help: “I spent 6 hours in the car because of the helplessness of not being in my city to help my neighbors.” “When I arrived, I took my car and loaded some products to be delivered to La Torre,” he said, before going to Benetusser, where he was “cleaning the premises of a colleague of a friend.”
“We reached a point where we became frustrated because there was nothing else we could do,” he said in his message. He explained that “without the essential machines”, they could not work: “There was such a quantity of debris to collect” that they considered that they would “waste the morning in vain”.
