The Civil Guard saves the life of a three-month-old baby in Artà (Mallorca)

The Civil Guard has saved the life of a three-month-old baby this Monday in the town of Artà (Mallorca). The Benemérita agents had to carry out a resuscitation maneuver after having been in cardiorespiratory arrest.

The events occurred precisely at 11:30 a.m., when a citizen security patrol that was near the barracks in the town of Artà was requested by a woman who was carrying her three-month-old son in her arms.

The nervous woman told officers her son had stopped breathing. suddenly. At that point, one of the officers picked up the baby and was able to see that he had a bluish complexion and lip colorwasn’t breathing and completely lacked movement.

After that, the Civil Guard put the mother and son in the official vehicle to urgently transfer them to the Artà PAC. Once inside the vehicle, the officer who was transporting the baby began cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuversby placing the child face down on his arm, giving him light dry pats on the back, then placing him face up while performing two breaths covering the nose and mouth.

The baby had not ingested any food or liquid.

During the maneuver, the agents asked the mother various questions to find out the causes of the road obstruction, and she responded that her son I didn’t ingest any food or liquid.but he was only lying on his back when he realized he was stopping breathing.

During the trip, the agent successfully freed the newborn’s ducts be able to breathe independently. However, the baby was kept face down to avoid further airway obstruction by monitoring his vital signs at all times.

Upon arriving at the PAC, the agents requested help from health personnel who quickly proceeded to examine and control the minor’s vital signs, being able to confirm that the newborn was out of danger.
