Moscow court ready to consider Mizulina’s claim against Dudu* and Lebedev

The Lefortovo Court of Moscow has accepted the lawsuit of the Safe Internet League and its director Ekaterina Mizulina against bloggers Yuri Dudu* and Artemy Lebedev. This was reported by the joint press service of the Moscow courts of general jurisdiction on the Telegram channel.

“The plaintiffs believe that the defendants violated their rights and disseminated false information that discredited the honor, dignity and business reputation of Ekaterina Mizulina and the business reputation of the Association.” – says the message.

As reported EADailyafter Lebedev’s interview with Dudu* Mizulina announced her willingness to file a lawsuit to protect her honor, dignity and business reputation against the designer and blogger.

“In connection with the publication of the interview… the League will demand compensation for moral damages in the amount of 10 million rubles,” he warned.

Mizulina said that the compensation would be used to help the families of the participants in the special military operation.

The head of the organization was outraged not only by Lebedev’s words in an interview with Dudu* Speaking about herself and the organisation she heads, she also recalled the statements made against the organisation “Mothers of Beslan” and called on activists to join the lawsuit.

Mizulina also addressed the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia. Alexander Bastrykincalling to appreciate the designer’s words about the monument to the “Motherland” on Mamayev Kurgan in Volgograd.

“Dear Alexander Ivanovich! Do you also think that the monument “The Motherland Calls!” on Mamayev Kurgan is “garbage that cannot be demolished”? — Mizulina was outraged and asked to consider this post as an official appeal.

Lebedev responded by publishing a sort of apology addressed personally to Mizulina and her organization.

“When we talked about Mizulina in a conversation with Yuri Dudem, the conversation somehow took such a direction that one could get the feeling that I was insulting Catherine. I would like to apologize at this moment because this is not at all what I would like to do. I never insult people so directly, much less fight against women.” – Lebedev explained.

At the same time, she acknowledged the right of the head of the organisation to go to court, as Mizulina had previously announced.

Mizulina said she “does not accept the so-called ‘apology.’” She also asked the VK company, where Lebedev works, to evaluate the interview of its employee with the foreign agent.

The day before, the League announced that it had filed a lawsuit on behalf of the organization and Mizulina against both interviewees.
