The Dana which devastated the province of Valencia six days ago, and which has so far left more than 210 dead and hundreds missing in Valencian territory, maintains the yellow alert for rains and storms in the north of the province of Castellón, while decreeing the end of all orange alerts in Castellón, Valencia and Alicante and the end of the yellow alert for rain and storms throughout the interior and the coast north of Valencia and on the coast of Alicante. Thus, situation 1 of the Castellón Flood Plan is mitigated but situation 2 of the Flood Plan is maintained throughout the province of Valencia.
Regarding mobility restrictions, Cecopi maintains traffic limitations due to the extreme risk of collapse of the main entry and exit routes from Valencia and it is recommended to telework and avoid the use of a private vehicle. Limitations remain on truck traffic to and from Valencia from 00:00 on 04/11 until the new detour of the A-7 with the A-3. Rescuers continue to work. More than 1,700 firefighters from 42 organizations and 6,700 military personnel are deployed on the ground. Restoration of supply
According to Iberdrola, 99% of the electricity of customers affected by Dana in the province of Valencia has been restored and there are currently 1,500 customers without service. Regarding telecommunications, Telefónica has recovered more than 90% of the network’s fixed central infrastructure and more than 60% of the mobile infrastructure.
Likewise, progress is being made in the restoration of the sanitation and water supply network and to this end, a reinforcement of nearly a hundred plumbers has been sent to repair the connections of the general network to private buildings . Currently, all affected areas have a drinking water service that can be used for sanitation and cleaning tasks, but its quality is not sufficient for human consumption in the affected municipalities.
