Several dozen students from IES Polytechnique from Palma called a strike this Monday to protest against the elimination of places and secondary and baccalaureate education programs in the center.

“We cannot leave more than 300 students without a place and forced to go to a new institute that they may not like as much or that does not meet their needs or comfort. “We cannot sit idly by thinking that students who started their secondary studies here will not be able to finish them in the same center because of the decision of others,” said the young people.
They also regretted that the distribution of students in other centers generates “overcrowded” classes, which will have a negative impact on the quality of their teaching. “We cannot allow our future to be manipulated like this. And this is what we are fighting for, we are not silent and we are fighting for our most important right and to continue in the institute where we grew up,” they said.
