Liputan6.com, Banyuwangi Since official work at the end of 2024, the Banyuwangi railway industry (Inka) has gained hundreds of local workers, especially SMK graduates in Banwang. Some of the workers were sent to China and Japan for training.
Currently, the largest trains in South -Eastern Asia are aimed at the possibility of manufacturing 250 trains per year, or the cost is equivalent to RP4 of the Trillion Rupe.
Quality Director PT. Inca Banyangi, Bambang Jatmik, said that the Bankwang railway factory was just starting production in December 2024.
“This year, Inka Banyuwangi produces 100 trains, because it is still at the stage of investment to attract cars so that it can produce optimally,” he said.
“The production machine appeared in the third quarter or semester of the end of this year, and we could only produce the maximum target, starting from 2026, it can produce 250 cars a year, the cost of which is equivalent to RP4 of the Trillion,” Bambang explained.
Bambang said to be able to achieve targeted production of 250 wagons per year, pt. Inka Banyuwangi requires up to 1000 employees. Currently, 600 employees have been absorbed, most professional graduates in D3 from Banyuwangi.
“We scored many workers, even SMK graduates in 2025 were absorbed in Banugangi. The children who have just completed their training were included in the training in Madiean, as well as some training in China and Japan, ”he said.
Bambang also explained that the factory in Banyuwangi is focused on the production of trains with modern technologies, namely trains that use robotic technologies and artificial intellectual (AI).
“We are preparing the entire engine based on robotics and artificial intelligence. The train will work automatically, no longer uses the locomotive to start it. One of them is currently produced to satisfy PT requests. KCI (Indonesian suburban train), ”he explained.
Currently, Inka Banyuwangi still opens up employment opportunities for professional and scientists to fill in human resources. Inka also collaborates with the Banyuwangi (BLK) working center to guarantee that the employees are undergoing the necessary training.
