Ali Nikzad, representative of the cities of Ardabil, Nir, Namin and Serein in southern Azerbaijan in the Iranian parliament, said that it is appropriate to prepare the ground for connecting the Ardabil railway line with Parsabad and Azerbaijan with the support of the 14th government.

According to the deputy, it is not possible to connect the Astara railway line with Azerbaijan because the area of the region is swampy, but the Ardabil-Parsabad railway and its connection with Azerbaijan can be used optimally, which can contribute to the revival of the South-North corridor.
Ali Nikzad noted that negotiations were held with the President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, for the completion of the Ardabil railway line.
