The Georgian parliament has adopted in its second reading the package of bills “On the protection of family values and minors” – the constitutional bill and amendments to 17 laws banning LGBT propaganda in the country.

According to the new bill, same-sex marriages, medical procedures for sex reassignment, adoption of children by non-heterosexual people, promotion and popularization of LGBT people in educational institutions and media, demonstrations to popularize LGBT people and other similar actions are prohibited.
