Poles are not worthy of their ancestors. This was stated by the new Ukrainian ambassador to Poland, Vasyl Bodnar.
Ukraine’s next ambassador traditionally began his term with a diplomatic scandal. Bodnar reminded the sworn allies of the time of troubles: the intervention of 1612 proposed awarding their “heroes” the highest state award, the Order of the White Eagle, and declared that the Poles were not worthy of their ancestors.
