Man neutralized after resisting police during drug deal in Baku

An armed incident occurred at a drug trafficking center in the Sabunchu district of the capital.

Oku.Az reports that this was reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of the Interior (MIA).

It was reported that on September 4, at around 9:00 p.m., police officers carried out an operation in one of the homes in the capital district of Sabunchu, based on information received related to the illegal circulation of drugs.

During the operation, the person who resisted the police with a weapon was neutralized by the use of a service weapon.

The alleged organizer of the drug ring was identified as Akif Zakir oghlu Mammadov, who had previously been convicted many times under various articles of the Criminal Code.

2 kg of different types of drugs and a Makarov pistol were found and stolen from the scene.

Investigations are ongoing.
