Colombia first captures a remote submarine for drug smuggling (video)

“This discovery shows the transition to more complex wireless systems that make it difficult to disclose,” said Admiral Juan Ricardo Russo, the radio commander of the Colombian Navy.

The report indicated that the submarine, which is equipped with a “star connection” satellite, capable of transferring up to 1.5 tons of cocaine, did not find drugs inside. Nevertheless, the Colombian fleet believes that the criminals used it for educational purposes.

The military report added that the capture of this submarine shows the use of gangs of “more complex systems”, which are a “growing problem for international marine safety”.

For decades, drugs in Colombia, the world’s largest cocaine manufacturer, used submarines for smuggling of this drug to the United States and Europe, but for the first time the authorities announced the distance from the distance that did not need those who lead them.
