Navarre set a limit to fees that families pay for school canteen in regional public schools. The price includes the menu and also the professional attention of the caring staff in the dining rooms. For this reason, section 2.3 of the appendix of instructions for the start of the course will be modified, which is the one relating to the catering costs and aid for regional canteens so that families using these canteens with local students who are not transported pay a maximum of 7.5 euros per day for the canteen service.
This is going to be the ceiling of the price that will be paid per guestthe Ministry of Education assuming the remainder of the actual cost of the service from its own budgetary resources.
The students transported and the users of these canteens, as well as disadvantaged economies, students with special educational needs and students from municipalities exposed to extreme and intense risk of depopulation, already have some menus subsidized by Education for which they pay 2 euros per day and that the problem was generated for students residing in two localities with a regional dining room managed by the department and of which they are users.
Education has experienced the situation once results of the call for tenders for these canteensIt turns out that on both sites, only one company participated in the tender.

The measure of hitting the maximum dining room price to pay by families will benefit approximately 22 non-subsidized students but users of the canteen of the San Donato school of Etxarri Aranatz and approximately 28 students of the Erleta school and the IES Amazabal of Leitza in the same situation.
Flexibility in school transport
