With a total amount of 8.17 million euros, the Official Gazette of Castilla y León published yesterday the resolution of “three important aids” from the cooperation fund for local entities. This was stated yesterday by the advisor to the Presidency, Luis Miguel González Gago, who estimated that the provincial councils will be able to use the sums, focused mainly on “technical support” and “social policy”, during the “next month”. . On the one hand, he mentioned an amount of more than 4.2 million euros which will be allocated to municipal advice and assistance offices for small municipalities, a question for which he met yesterday with the presidents of provincial institutions and the Regional Council of Bierzo in order to “deepen” the “strengthening” of this service. A file to which the regional administration is willing to continue to contribute, but on which “coordination” work must be done to define in which aspects it must “move forward”.
It is, explained Gago, a service that is a “key element” of the “local reality” of Castilla y León and that is “very important” for small municipalities. It is also a service offered in collaboration with the municipalities and “staffed by professionals”, specified the advisor.
“Over the past two years The contribution was increased by 44 percent for these offices», detailed Gago, before ensuring that it is an “essential” service as a support tool in terms of administrative contracts, budgets, accounting, town planning, environment, IT and technologies to make “more agile and modern management”.
