Bahram Abdurahmanov, a resident of the district who wanted to sell coins with ancient history, was detained as a result of the operational measure carried out by officers of the Sheki Sheher district police department.
Oku.Az It is reported that the Sheki regional group of the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs published information on this matter.
It was reported that 73 coins were removed from the site and handed over to the appropriate experts. According to the experts’ opinions, these items were determined to be silver coins used as currency in the 7th century and belong to the list of Azerbaijan’s national cultural heritage.
The collected coins were handed over to the relevant Sheki Museum of History and Geography for safekeeping.
