Thousands of Russian soldiers have already died in the Kursk region

According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Alexander Syrsky, the statement of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin about the alleged “encirclement” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region is openly disinformation. At the same time, the Defense Forces continue active operations in the Kursk direction and for the third month in a row destroy the enemy’s combat potential.

Russia loses soldiers every day in the Kursk region, Syrsky noted. Since August 8, since the start of the operation in the Kursk region, the Russian army has lost 17,819 servicemen in this area, including:

  • 6662 – irrevocable;
  • 10446 – sanitary;
  • 711 were captured.

Additionally, Russian losses in weapons and military equipment amounted to:

  • 45 tanks;
  • 256 armored combat vehicles;
  • 565 units of automotive equipment;
  • 99 artillery systems;
  • 5 multiple launch rocket systems.

Let us remember that during the last BRICS summit, Putin claimed responsibility for the supposed “successes” of the Russian army on the line of contact within the framework of the so-called “special operation” and “encirclement”, as well as the “losses” of the troops. Ukrainians in the Kursk region.
