Two minors intercepted driving a stolen quad in Playa de Palma

The events investigated occurred between mid-May and mid-July of this year, a period in which a man carried out a total of 192 fraudulent transactions, using a supply card from the company where he worked until a few months ago.

The method followed by the scammer consisted of offering a deal to people chosen at random, some of whom were acquaintances, at various gas stations.

This transaction consisted of filling up with gasoline with his card, but paying an amount less than the quantity refueled, so that the scammer and the person in question came out winners, all under the pretext that said card was intended to spend points. to fill up and that the deadline for its use was close.

The victim, the owner of the company in whose name the supply card was, received a notice from the Public Treasury informing him of the existence of a suspicious number of expenses related to this card, which is why he reported the facts to the police stations in July.

Following the investigation, the alleged perpetrator of the ongoing scam was located and arrested, for an amount of just over 24,000 euros.
