Ballot scanners are failing hugely in the swing state of Pennsylvania.

In the key US state of Pennsylvania, voting hours for the presidential election were extended after a software glitch caused ballot scanners to fail there. This was reported by CNN.

Voters complain that ballot scanners don’t read any information or fail on the fortieth or fiftieth try.

“We have a plan for such disruptions, and they should not prevent citizens from exercising their right to vote,” – says a statement from the district electoral commission, cited by TASS.

The ballots will be saved and taken into account after verification by computer specialists, the statement underlines.

There were also delays Tuesday morning at two polling places in Allegheny County in western Pennsylvania. The sites are now open, a county spokeswoman told CNN. Abigail Gardner.

According to her, the observers arrived late at the polling stations or did not arrive at all.
