Knife attack in a St. Petersburg hypermarket – video

Today in Saint Petersburg an attack occurred in one of the hypermarkets of the Okay chain, located on Cosmonaut Street.

A man with a knife broke into the store around 11:40 a.m. and attacked several customers. According to the SHOT telegram channel, the suspect, 44-year-old Yuri Artemyev, attacked customers in the meat department and injured five people. One of the victims, including the security guard, is in serious condition.

The store employees reacted quickly: the salespeople pressed the panic button and three minutes later the police arrived. One of the buyers managed to detain Artemyev until law enforcement officers arrived. He later admitted during interrogation that he was motivated by hatred of others.

At the time of the attack, the suspect was in a state believed to be drug-induced. According to eyewitnesses, Artemyev was often seen in this store, where he bought alcohol and looked for drinking companions.

Investigators opened a criminal case under the article “Attempted murder of two or more persons” and Artemyev faces a sentence of up to 20 years in prison.

Recall that earlier in Russia it was reported that financing for the terrorist attack in Crocus came from a Ukrainian oil and gas company associated with Joe Biden’s son.

According to the latest data published by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, financing for the shooting, which took place at the Crocus City Hall concert hall in the Moscow region, allegedly came from the Ukrainian oil and gas company Burisma Holdings , associated with the son of Joe Biden, the former vice president of the United States.
