Oku.Az reports that such an exchange was spread on social media as an advertisement for “Baku Airport”.
In the comments section of “Elan”, fake profiles claimed that they bought these suitcases and that a lot of money and jewelry came out of them.
We have sent a request to Heydar Aliyev International Airport regarding this matter.
The Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Heydar Aliyev International Airport have issued a joint statement on the issue.
Oku.AzThe statement said that in recent days, fake social media pages opened in the name of Heydar Aliyev International Airport have been posting advertisements related to the sale of allegedly lost luggage and attempts to collect personal information from citizens.
“We inform you that this type of information is completely false and has nothing to do with Baku Airport. We call on our citizens to be careful, we recommend following information only from official sources, including the official website airport.az of Heydar Aliyev International Airport and social media accounts. Appropriate measures are being taken regarding its origin.
