Mazón calls for unity with businessmen to “continue generating jobs, attracting wealth and promoting social policies”

The president of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazoncalled for unity to “continue generating jobs, attracting wealth and promoting social policies” at the start-of-course business meeting organized by the Valencia Chamber of Commerce, in Albufera.

In statements to the media, Carlos Mazon described this meeting with the Valencian business world as “a meeting to take stock, address future challenges and defend the needs of the Valencian Community.”

In this sense, he thanked the businessmen and the Chambers of Commerce the work carried out to strengthen the competitiveness of our territory, while encouraging them to “take a further step in the ambition of the Valencian Community in international markets”.

He also asked them to convey abroad the image of a territory “open to investment, without prejudice, which reduces taxes and eliminates bureaucratic obstacles”. Likewise, he reminded businessmen that they will find in this Council “an ally” to generate jobs and attract wealth “because economic activity is the prelude to social policies and social cohesion”.

A year of record numbers

Carlos Mazón highlighted the importance of the figures obtained in the Valencian Community last year in different areas.

So he indicated that he was “a record year for job creation, tourist attraction and investment” and referred to the “more than 7 billion in strategic investments made last year that will result in the creation of more than 9,000 jobs.”

Likewise, he mentioned the beginning of the tax reform, the implementation of simplification and the elimination of bureaucracy in the Administration and expressed his willingness to “continue moving forward” in this new stage that is beginning.

The meeting of businessmen held at the Palmar in Valencia was also attended by the President of the Council of Chambers of the Valencian Community, José Vicente Morata, as well as the Minister of Finance, Economy and Public Administration, Ruth Merino; the Minister of Education, Culture, Universities and Employment, José Antonio Rovira; the Minister of the Environment, Infrastructure and Territory, Vicente Martínez Mus; and the Minister of Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Nuria Montes.
